Automation QA

Catena Media in Malta is looking to recruit an Automation QA to join their team on a full-time basis on a hybrid model.

Job Role:
As an Automation QA, you will have the opportunity to use your expert knowledge to define, Implement, deploy, test, and maintain automated tests for our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creation of test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability, and portability). 
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities.
• Develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools. 
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. 
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. 
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet department needs. 
• Liaise with Internal teams (e.g. developers and product owners) to Identify system requirements. 
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to Implement solutions. 
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, create reports on system quality, and collect metrics on test cases.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

• QA background and experience with automation testing.
• Degree in Computer Science or experience to match. 
• Have experience with Agile development methods. 
• A desire to learn new things and curiously evaluate new technologies and techniques, in order to improve your team’s delivery. 
• An ISTQB Certification would be considered an asset
• The readiness to help out by writing test plans and test cases when needed. 
• To be a team player who believes that Devs and QA are part of the same team. 
• A definite plus if you have experience in the following tools: Version control systems and their usage through GIT, Selenium-JAVA and/or Cypress-Javascript/Typescript, Jmeter;
