Project Manager

A new opportunity has become available for the position of a Project Manager with a building contracting company. In this role, you will report directly to the Director and will be responsible for managing and engaging a wide range of leaders and teams to deliver financial results, operating efficiency and customer value.

Your other responsibilities will include:

• Planning, scheduling, cost management, project management, construction management
• Preparing and updating the daily programme of works; Maintaining regular contact with clients, updating clients with the progress of works, attending projects progress meetings
• Taking action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at the job site
• Conducting comprehensive site visits to check/audit works in progress, the standard of work, and ensure availability of required
• Ensuring accurate and immediate reporting/management information as required and that accurate records are maintained at all times
• Investigating safety hazards and unusual activities, reporting them to the director and recommending remedial action to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all at stake
• Monitoring and managing employees/subcontractors' productivity to ensure project cost control and cost reductions where possible

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Knowledge of local construction legislation is a must
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• In possession of a clean and valid driving license
• Excellent command of English. Maltese would also be a preference

• Previous experience working within construction
• Being in possession of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field would be considered an asset
