Job vacancy: Production Shift Manager
We are looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager to join our client's Operations department. The Production Shift Manager is responsible for leading a shift production team and supporting the Production Manager in all manufacturing activities. He/She will be accountable for co-ordinating all manufacturing resources and activities pertaining to the shift with primary accountability for productive output, quality yield and productive maintenance activities required to fulfil production requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive team to meet all needs set by the production plan.
- Support direct and indirect reports in fulfilling the production plan to ensure target OTIF delivery levels.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and cost metrics.
- Ensure full observance of housekeeping and 5S practices at all times.
- Manage budgets and resourcing in accordance with the overall business objectives.
- Manage all human resources requirements leading recruitment, support training initiatives, performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures.
- Work within the Quality Management System requirements and procedures including Certification and Customer requirements.
- Handle and delegate administrative tasks required by the position.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in managing multi-function shift operations.
- Experience in handling quality, delivery, safety and discipline for a large team.
- Front line leadership experience in a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of key Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work on a three-shift basis.
WORKING TIME:
Three-shift pattern rotating on C-B-A. (A - 05:45 till 13:45; B - 13:45 till 21:45; C - 21:45 till 05:45)

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University ideally in Engineering or Management or equivalent.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- €26K - €30K p.a.
