Production Manager

A new position of Production Manager has just been made vacant. As the Production Manager you will be responsible for: 

• Managing day to day production of a defined manufacturing process
• Leading and empowering high-performance teams
• Ensuring finished products exceed customer expectations on quality, cost, and delivery
• Demonstrating operational leadership and excellence
• Driving continuous improvement through identifying, assessing and analysing opportunities for achieving operational excellence
• Leading and facilitating Lean and Kaizen manufacturing techniques to further develop a culture of continuous improvement
• Developing current and future site maps which drive safety, quality, delivery and cost productivity improvements

This position is with a well established manufacturing company in Malta. Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00hrs.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to challenge conventional work practices and establish new, lean ways of working as routine
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Professional fluency in both English and Maltese is needed 

• Background in Process/ Lean Manufacturing, OEE, 5S and Continuous Improvement is a must
• A minimum of three years experience in leading production teams in a manufacturing setting
• Proven ability to train, coach and mentor employees
• An MQF level 6 of education in Engineering or related area is required
