Operational Excellence Engineer

A position for an OPEX Engineer is now available within an international manufacturing company. In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing, leading and coaching various departments on Operational Excellence Programs
• Leading and facilitating Lean 6 Sigma and other manufacturing techniques to further develop a culture of operational excellence
• Undertaking initiatives aimed at cost-cutting, increasing efficiency, customer services, and overall quality
• Periodic project review meetings and presentations with stakeholders to monitor milestones and determine a way forward in line with company strategy and goals
• Analysing OEE and continuously looking at ways of increasing efficiency or improving methods in place.

• Ability to lead, coordinate and supervise people in cross-functional teams
• Self-starter and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation
• Strong written and spoken communication in English is required
• A highly meticulous individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A personable and charismatic individual who is driven and resilient
• Can work in a fast-paced environment and have a technical aptitude

• 4 years working in a similar position within a local manufacturing setup
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineer
• Have a 6 Sigma qualification ideally Green Belt
