Assistant Production Manager

Job Description
Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd is looking to recruit an Assistant Production Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will report to the Production Manager (API) and assist in the management of resources and the daily operations of the production department.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the cleaning validation activities of the site by evaluating new or existing products and by issuing documents/procedures/protocols to support the manufacturing processes.
• Assisting in planning production according to the necessities of the Commercial Department whilst complying with the fixed objectives of quality, quantity, cost, and time.
• Achieving compliance and business results between Production and Quality Assurance, so as to maintain GMP in sustainable compliance status.
• Supporting the Production Unit in reducing cycle times and proactively participating in projects and/or process improvements resulting in cost reduction or increase in site efficiency.

The Position Requires:

• A Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy (or similar scientific degree).
• A confident and pro-active person who will also be self-sufficient in this role.
• A team member with a challenger mentality, organised and ready to work on multiple projects.
• A candidate who finds solutions to productivity and supply issues that may arise, through the implementation of change controls, deviation reports, and other investigation tools such as root cause analysis, supplier interface, corrective and preventive actions.
• Strong problem-solving and project-management skills.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
