General Soft Drinks Co Ltd is looking to recruit a Senior Technical Machine Operator to join their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Technical Process Leader during the changeover from one bottle format to another, including the identification of the correct changeover parts, the correct installation/mounting of the changeover parts and adjusting the changeover parts correctly to ensure fast line speed ramp-up following the format change and minimal raw material yield losses. Ensure that change-over parts are stored in their correct location.
- Ensure that all specified process parameters are being monitored by the Technical Machine Operator and/or Labourer and to ensure that relevant log sheets are being updated in real-time.
- Follow Preventive Maintenance programs issued by the Engineering Manager to avoid equipment breakdowns. In the case of a breakdown the equipment must be made operational in the shortest possible time, by assisting the maintenance technicians during the repair.
- Recommend initiatives that will improve safety, yields and efficiencies.

We do this for brands owned by The Coca Cola Company (TCCC) including Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Schweppes, and Kristal. We are an independent Coca Cola bottler and are the sole licensed bottler for products of TCCC in Malta. We employ over 240 people in Malta and Gozo at our manufacturing site, offices, and distribution centers. Through our sister company, GSD Marketing Ltd we sell and distribute TCCC products manufactured in Malta as well as import, sell and distribute other TCCC products including Nestea, Cappy Juices and Powerade. We also import, sell and distribute other brands including Monster, Bavaria, Stella Artois, Berlin Beer, Lowenbrau, Café Mauro and Evian on behalf of other brand owners.
