About Office of Chief Officer Enforcement:

The Office of the Chief Officer Enforcement assists the Chief Officer Enforcement in the management of the Enforcement Directorate which houses the Enforcement function responsible for investigations and enforcement action as well as the Due Diligence function responsible for ensuring that persons authorised to take on approved positions within a licensed entity are fit and proper.

The Role:
As Senior Manager within the Office of the Chief Officer Enforcement, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Offer assistance to the Chief Officer Enforcement in the day-to-day management of the directorate;
  • Coordinate work across the Enforcement Directorate, providing direction and strategic input where necessary;
  • Assist in the development of management goals and objectives;
  • Provide periodic updates and reports to the Chief Officer Enforcement on the status of current and outstanding work within the directorate, providing input and recommendations where necessary;
  • Follow up with the different functions of the Enforcement Directorate on action points and deliverables on regulatory matters and critical enforcement cases;
  • Act as the main point of reference of the Chief Officer Enforcement with the supervisory functions and other directorates within the Authority;
  • Prepare and/or vet documentation and communication for the Chief Officer Enforcement;
  • Represent the Chief Officer Enforcement in projects and meetings, as delegated;
  • Represent the MFSA in EU and international fora and engage with other competent authorities, as necessary;
  • Support the Heads of the different functions within the Enforcement directorate; and
  • Handle any other duties as assigned by the Chief Officer Enforcement and/or as may be required by the MFSA from time to time, as required by the exigencies of the Authority.

About You:
  • We are looking for candidates with a solid academic background in Financial Services. Candidates in possession of a legal academic background will be considered an asset.
  • The role calls for an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
  • You will also possess a minimum of eight (8) years of working experience in the area related to the role. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.
  • If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
