PokerStars in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Social Media Specialist (Sport) to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The chosen candidate will be directly involved in activities engaging the biggest community of players in the world and will take care of all the social media and community-related activities.

This role focuses on driving brand awareness, growing the community, and increasing engagement through compelling content across our own social media channels, in line with the brand's tone of voice, following the calendar of events, campaigns, and projects involving ambassadors, streamers, and influencers. 

The right candidate has strong sports knowledge (football in particular) and a good understanding of the betting market, with a passion for social media.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

As Social Media Specialist, you will join an international team leading a community across over 30 different channels and eight languages. You will work closely with stakeholders across the PokerStars brand within Poker and Sports verticals, reporting directly to our FR Communities and Engagement Manager; ensuring that projects and campaigns are communicated across all owned PokerStars channels and blog, in line with the company-wide strategy and adhering to required regulatory restrictions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team to assist with brainstorming, briefing, production, and execution of channel-specific communication plans, ensuring they are in line with the brands’ tone of voice and overarching strategy
  • Assist with planning and publishing of PokerStars content calendar on social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Aid with video content production and planning of streaming schedule on YouTube and Twitch
  • Coordinate production of blog articles to amplify projects, campaigns, and product launches in line with the team’s objectives
  • Collaborate with wider internal teams (Studio, Marketing, CRM, PR, Live Events) so to ensure cross-departmental alignment
  • Assist Communities and Engagement Manager with managing an external team of community moderators and planning of their activities, ensuring messages are responded to, in line with brand guidelines, and following internal procedures
  • Assist with Streamer & influencers’ activations, work alongside internal and external stakeholders to define and execute plans, as well as report on results, identifying successes and areas for improvement
  • Master Sprinklr - the social media management tool for publishing and moderation ensuring, content is correctly published and tagged following the internal guidelines
  • Assist with the production of reports, consistently monitor, and analyse the performances and sentiment of community activities, and proactively monitor activities of competitors
  • Aid with managing projects, producing presentations for internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining strong relationships with ambassadors and streamers.


Requirements:
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, with a strong knowledge of the French Sports market and influencer marketing. You will be an expert in Social media, with a good understanding of social platforms and communities, and the ability to communicate, present ideas, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The right candidate has huge knowledge and passion for the most followed sports in Europe (football, cycling, motorsport, rugby etc.).

Experience & Qualification:

  • Knowledge of Social Network’s best practices and proven track record
  • Degree (or other qualification) in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the gambling or affiliate marketing industries
  • Knowledge of social media enterprise tools such as Sprinklr (beneficial, not essential).


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the internal teams and external providers, with good teamwork skills in a dynamic environment
  • Maximum flexibility and willingness (possibility to work on late shifts or weekends to follow the main sports events)
  • Keep up to date with digital trends and be a constant source of ideas and inspiration.
