About Communications:

Acting as the central point of contact for the Authority, the Communications function handles its internal and external communications with the aim of maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.

The Role:
Junior Assistant/Intern will be involved in the following:
  • Monitor digital news and print media coverage to circulate as necessary;
  • Provide support in the organisation of local or international, both digital and non-digital events, webinars or workshops;
  • Prepare and compile reports/statistics required by the different team's initiatives;
  • Provide support to the team in the day to day operations;
  • Update and optimise digital content including website and social media or links in a timely manner, using appropriate tools;
  • Participate in various projects to design various artworks as well as setting up and editing of video and audio-related projects from concept to completion;
  • Produce drafts, prototypes and engaging digital media design solutions, including outputs for social media platforms;
  • Listen to feedback to hone skills and improve the design and digital content;
  • Other administrative tasks, such as the ordering of stationery, branding of documents, compiling of presentations and maintaining storage facility.

About You:
We are looking for candidates who are reading for a degree, preferably, in Digital Marketing such as creative media, graphic design, interactive media or similar at MQF Level 6 (including first-year students), duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) and who are looking to build professional experience in preparation for entering the job market for the first time.

The candidate should:
  • Be able to organise, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritise tasks in accordance with the requirements of the function;
  • Possess good communication and presentation skills;
  • Be able to work within the team as well as a multi-disciplinary office;
  • Have a good command of English and Maltese, both spoken and written, and an eye for detail.
