The Stars Group in Malta is looking to recruit a Department Head (Poker Promotions) to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Are you our next star player?
This role is to be responsible for poker promotions and communications for PokerStars. Reporting to the Director of Loyalty & CRM, you will be responsible for achieving our business objectives, engaging our customer base, and ensuring that we are executing the best promotional strategy based on the competitive landscapes, licenses, and customer segments that you will oversee. Working closely with the brand, Go-To-Market, Digital Marketing, Product & Marketing Tech, your team will be responsible for ensuring we are maximizing our marketing tool capabilities, meticulously reviewing and improving customer experiences, and helping drive the vision & strategy for the future of Poker Promotions and Communications.

Why we need you:
The Department Head of Poker Promotions will be responsible for:

  • All poker promotions and customer-facing communications;
  • Building a strategy to outperform competitors and deliver the best promotional customer experience in the industry;
  • Applying best practices for Poker CRM across PokerStars channels;
  • Develop a high performing team passionate about delivering great creative campaigns that land the customer propositions in a way that aligns with the brand strategy;
  • Manage budgets and optimize accordingly;
  • Monitor your team’s campaigns ensuring results feed into the business’s strategy;
  • Ensure all assigned and innovated projects are run, detailed, and executed to high quality, handling stakeholder requirements effectively;
  • Stakeholder management to ensure team performance and vision is communicated clearly;
  • Managing a large team across multiple locations and ensuring the team are motivated and aligned to driving business success;
  • Helping drive the roadmap for Marketing Tech & Product improvements.


Who we’re looking for:

  • A track record of 5+ years leading teams within a digital business;
  • Demonstrable experience of driving change, ability to identify and change key business processes in order to improve the quality and impact of poker campaigns;
  • Strong leadership qualities and a proven ability to motivate and influence people to deliver results;
  • An in-depth understanding of the poker industry;
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management;
  • Strong analytical/reporting skills with the ability to make data-justified business decisions;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate effectively with all levels within the business.
