The CCO will be responsible to drive sustainable revenue and margin growth across the entire brand portfolio. You will be tasked with optimizing the customer lifecycle - starting from awareness and acquisition through to growing customer LTV and ensuring strong retention. You will lead both the company’s sales and marketing teams and will need to define clear strategies and plans for them to execute. B2B activities are run by an on-the-ground sales team, which represents different brands, while a highly technical marketing team mainly runs the B2C activities and supports B2B activities.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy underpinning the company’s vision, purpose, values and brand promise
  • Define a company-wide growth plan to deliver on acquisition targets, prioritise customer engagement, enhance the customer experience, and drive customer loyalty and advocacy
  • Drive an ambitious acquisition culture to scale the business, combining smart strategies with excellent commercial acumen and entrepreneurial flair. 
  • Develop and monitor all stages in the customer acquisition funnel, including all online marketing, offline sales initiatives, customer insights, customer segmentation and retention strategies
  • Prepare annual plans and budgets and support any strategic or operational recommendations by metrics and strong empirical arguments
  • Lead and mentor a twelve-person team of highly committed sales and marketing professionals

Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Must have an excellent senior sales leadership track record with demonstrated experience developing and executing successful commercialisation strategies for corporate companies.
Education & Experience
  • Commercial degree (e.g. B Comm Marketing), post-graduate degree, e.g. MBA would be advantageous.
  • 10+ years’ sales and marketing experience with 5 years in a management role.
  • Experience working in a tech environment is important.
