Head of Internships

Paragon Recruitment in Malta is looking to recruit a Head of Internships to join their team on a full-time basis. The candidate will be reporting to the Senior Management & Directors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management for the Internships team, ensuring excellent levels of sales, business development input and implementation and oversight of customer service. 

Passionate and motivated by the delivery of high standards of internship services you should already have experience of providing services to higher educational institutions and their students and of managing staff in a busy operational environment. Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills are required. Please note that due to the nature of some of the duties and responsibilities for this position, flexibility within your working hours is essential. This is a key role responsible for the delivery of excellent HEI client & student experience and high levels of customer satisfaction through the enforcement of effective processes and procedures. Effective leadership and exemplary behaviour are essential.

Paragon Internships is part of Paragon Europe founded in Malta in 2004 and rapidly growing into a group of complementary companies covering besides internships, R&I projects, recruitment, digital services and English language training. Paragon Internships has serviced more than 25,000 students from the inception of the programme and has been for many years the leading internships organization In Malta. The aim of our shareholders is to continue to grow this successful internships programme and to open up campuses with our partners in several major European cities.


Responsibilities:

• Managing relationships with key agent partners;
• Cost-effectively managing the wider agent network;
• Service experience and delivery and profitability across the region of responsibility;
• Delivering excellent customer service whilst being the primary point of contact for all programme enquiries;
• Day-to-day liaison with our call centre, key account holders and operations teams;
• Occasional travel to and training of call centre and key account holders;
• Attendance at international events, as required, and support for the event preparation stages;
• Encouraged to contribute any new ideas, for Sales processes and for business development channels;
• Actively working with the marketing team on a range of online and offline channels.

Requirements:

• 5+ or more years of experience in product development and marketing ideally with exposure to an international education context;
• A commercially savvy leader with a successful track record in delivering results through management of direct and indirect sales;
• Experience leading a team in building and maintaining a key account management sales process and nurturing customer relationships, proactive in recognising customers' business requirements;
• Experience in leading sales, budgets and projects within a global marketplace;
• Experience in successfully executing conversion and sales strategies;
• Knowledge and understanding of the international student marketplace and the challenges within this industry;
• Fluency in English;
• Other languages will be considered an asset;
• Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus a keen user of social media.

Salary:

• EUR 33,000 – 38,000 depending on experience.
