Machinist

Simonds Farsons Cisk Plc in Malta is looking to recruit a Machinist to join their team on a full-time basis.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the running and the upkeeping of the plant and machinery within the Packaging and Brewing sections of the Operations department and to make sure that the operations are in line with the established quality and efficiency standards.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• The running of the machinery and processes assigned to him/her, including the controlling of quality and filling out forms related to the ‘Standard Operating Procedures;
• The maintenance of the machinery and plant in line with the SOP, and other duties as may be required;
• Assisting in the troubleshooting of faults that cause the production to stop, whilst also assisting in the technical maintenance of the machinery. This also includes the periodic maintenance of overhauls etc. and the quality by implementing tests on the products as indicated by the standard operating procedure. 

• Have good communication skills in both readings and writing in English and Maltese;
• O Levels certification;
• Be computer literate with a proven certificate in ECDL;
• Be knowledgeable in mechanical and/or electrical field;
• Be flexible and willing to learn new machinery according to the needs of the Company; and,
• Willing to work on a roster basis, including night shift.
