Senior Legal Counsel (German Speaking)

Our client, a global investment company that builds companies at the very forefront of biotech, spacetech, deep tech, fintech, and crypto, is looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to join their local team. Reporting to the Head of Legal responsibilities would include:

• Drafting, editing, negotiating and amending a wide range of German and English-language contracts
• Developing strong relationships with relevant authorities and drafting responses to official queries
• Providing day-to-day support to the Head of Legal
• Providing expert and pragmatic legal advice to other stakeholders
• Managing legal risk and giving proactive advice to reduce company exposure
• Developing and drafting key standard policies and compliance documentation

Education & Experience:

• Fully qualified lawyer with 5+ years of experience whilst German-qualified Rechtsanwalt is preferred
• Experience in M&A's required preferably in an in-house context
• Experience in dealing with cross-border issues involving working with foreign lawyers

Skills:

• Ability to operate with minimum level of supervision and in direct contact with internal clients
• High professional standard of verbal and written communication
• Full German professional proficiency required
