Legal Counsel

Our client is a diversified group of companies having achieved success in hospitality, maritime, and the education sectors, amongst others in Malta. They are currently looking to recruit a lawyer as Legal Counsel for the group of companies on a full-time basis. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Drafting & reviewing of commercial contracts;
• Negotiating and advising on transactional matters;
• Drafting and implementing legal policies and procedures for group matters;
• Ensuring all legal obligations are being met;
• Advising group companies on business matters;
• Anticipating legal concerns and taking all necessary steps in this regard.

Education & Experience:

• You shall be a fully qualified lawyer and warranted to practice in the Maltese courts;
• A least 2 to 3 years of experience working in a related field is required;
• Sound legal understanding of commercial & corporate concept;
• Experience in drafting & reviewing of commercial experience is essential.

Skills:

• Negotiating skills are essential for this role;
• Excellent Maltese & English, both verbal and written;
• An eye for detail and the ability to prioritize;
• Hands-on approach to work with the ability to relate to different levels within the organisation.
