Director of Legal

Our client, a leading private aviation company, is currently looking to recruit a Director of Legal to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal contracts, including and without limitation, vendor agreements, tenders, RFPs, NDAs, SLAs, licencing, and other agreements both in and outside the aviation space
• Serve as the Legal team’s subject matter expert for privacy, compliance and risk matters, from AML/CFT to GDPR
• Serve as the Human Resource Department’s subject matter expert for employment matters in Malta and the wider European region
• Provide accurate, relevant and timely advice to business stakeholders on a wide variety of legal topics and matters
• Engage with government agencies and regulators
• Prepare reports, memos, and undertake internal investigations
• Draft, update, and administer company policies
• Undertake training programs
• Manage Maltese and European litigation efforts and oversee outside counsel
• Oversee and coordinate the efforts of the Malta-based legal team
