Bet365 in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Data Protection Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis.

As a Data Protection Analyst, your primary focus will be to ensure that the Business remains compliant with all the relevant Data Protection Regulations.
You will support the department’s interpretation of international data protection and privacy legislation, in particular those around the supply of information to applicable internal operational entities.

This role will require a detailed understanding of EU and UK data protection and privacy regulations, leading to a common understanding with team members, key stakeholders, and various teams within the company.

Key deliverables will be comprehensive data protection and risk assessment documentation and decision logging, which can be worked through in conjunction with various parties and other team members to produce relevant technical solutions.

You will contribute to delivering ongoing and future data protection regulatory change work, alongside improving the documentation and existing processes that serve currently regulated markets.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working-from-home policy.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of UK and European data protection and privacy laws
  • Relevant CIPP certification is highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills fluent in written and spoken English
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation skills and process-oriented
  • Ability to deliver to a high standard within agreed deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Pragmatic approach to the administration of governance and risk
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple varied and complex projects
  • Demonstrates resilience and a can-do attitude in the face of change.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identifying non-conformity within the Business and escalating appropriately
  • Production of high-calibre documentation, including applicable risk assessments
  • Supporting the project process to ensure that data protection and privacy are considered throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting internal and external audits where necessary
  • Identifying appropriate data protection and privacy knowledge and transferring it into the Business as required
  • Reviewing third-party data protection agreements
  • Staying up-to-date with new regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring the Data Protection mailbox, ensuring that all enquiries are responded to appropriately and promptly.
