Our client within the Financial Industry is looking for a Court Litigation Manager to join their team
Responsibilities:
Manage the Court Litigation team
Lead the initiation and/or conduct of any court-related procedures
Lead in the drafting, preparation and filing of any judicial acts and related documents
Supervising and reviewing any work carried out by the team
Liaise and coordinating with the external lawyers in relation to any such court-related procedures
Attending court sittings on behalf of and representing the company
Participating in Compliance Monitoring Committees as necessary;
To carry out performance appraisals and one-to-one meetings as may be required from time to time with team members
The provision of advice to the company
Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Senior Management
Skill-sets and Requirements
Practiced in court for a minimum of three years
Good understanding of the laws that govern the prevention of money laundering and funding of terrorism in Malta and the international standards and EU legislation in the area
Experience in applying anti-money laundering and counter-funding of terrorism legislation would be considered as an asset
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in Maltese and English
Education & Experience
LL.D. or M.Adv. Degree or an equivalent academic qualification in law
Warrant or registration to practice as an advocate in Malta
