Commercial & Corporate Lawyer (In-house)

A new opportunity has arisen, for an In-house Corporate and Commercial Lawyer. The chosen candidate will be representing a group of companies specializing in Maritime, Human Resources, Hospitality, Retail and Manufacturing among others.

Responsibilities include:

• To review, draft, and negotiate legal agreements on behalf of the Group including commercial reports
• To conduct the necessary due diligence when necessary
• Overseeing deals that involve mergers, acquisitions, transfer of business with another company and others
• To liaise and provide legal advice to the internal departments in relation to disciplinary measures
• Representing the Company in court sittings and litigation when necessary
• Anticipating legal concerns and proposing the best way forward accordingly
• Other ad hoc duties that may arise 

• A minimum of 4 years of previous local experience in a similar role
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive can-do attitude who can challenge and negotiate
• Fluency in both written and spoken Maltese and English

• Locally qualified and warranted lawyer
