Senior Life Underwriter

Our client is seeking a Senior Life Underwriter, reporting to the Head – Malta Health & Life Underwriting team you will be responsible for :

• To evaluate the risk of new applications and changes, amendments or additions to existing policies in line with the
• Company’s underwriting policy.
• Works with Underwriters, balances workload, provides assistance and support.
• Evaluate knowledge and competency of team members, provides feedback and recommends training as
• needed.
• Provide advice, guidance, direction and mentoring to other team members
• Communicate with applicants and distribution network to explain underwriting decisions, clarify issues and
• address questions or concerns.
• Conduct training for internal customers and distribution network
• Attend seminars, medical conferences, medical underwriting seminars to stay abreast of the most current
• information and trends.
•  Identify required improvements in systems to improve processes and achieve a better turnaround and a
• smoother customer experience
• Prepare reports as required
• Perform related tasks/projects as assigned.
