Our client, a local importer and distributor, is looking to recruit a Recruitment & Training Development Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Group HR, the chosen candidate will:
Identify role requirements based on current and future business needs.
Collaborate with managers to create and revise job descriptions.
Determine the most effective recruitment channels, including internal resources, agencies, and social media platforms.
Create internal and external job postings for various media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, job sites).
Screen applications and shortlist candidates for interviews with relevant managers.
Conduct interviews in partnership with hiring managers.
Manage the onboarding process, including drafting contracts, extending job offers, and sending welcome emails.
Lead the effective delivery of the overall Learning & Development (L&D) strategy.
Drive employee performance management processes and identify individual and company-wide development opportunities.
Conduct annual company-wide skills and capability analysis.
Develop training program content in collaboration with relevant departments.
Plan and coordinate training initiatives using a mix of methodologies such as e-learning, on-the-job training, classroom sessions, and coaching.
Manage training budgets and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants.
Oversee the application of training funds.
Evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of training programs.
Support the HR Manager in building a talent pipeline through local and global talent reviews.
Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and standards align with the organization’s goals.
Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions to address industry skill shortages.
Manage internship and apprenticeship programs.
Compile and submit National Statistics Office (NSO) and other external surveys.
Maintain and update company organization charts as required.
Issue internal communications related to new hires, employee changes, and birthdays.
Generate and distribute relevant HR reports.
Participate in HR-related activities and administrative duties as needed.
Assist in other HR functions to support the organization’s overall HR strategy.
Requirements
Communication skills, both in written and verbal form are a necessity for this position
Ability to prepare various training materials and draw reports on the performance and progress of training programs and initiatives that are presented to senior management to aid in strategy formulation and informed decision-making
A proven ability to pinpoint, analyse, assess training needs within the business, translating those needs into actionable training initiatives
Ability to work both independently and in a group setting, have keen attention to detail, be proactive, have a strong sense of personal accountability
Be highly capable of making meaningful connections with other
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Business, or any other related field.
Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar role
Experience on using social media for recruiting is a must
Experience working with learning management system (LMS) and experience in adult learning, performance measurement, and needs assessment
Must be highly proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoin
