Job Role: 
Reporting to the Head of HR you will be responsible for the development of a fully-fledged training function servicing Melita’s strong workforce. The selected candidate will oversee training programmes to bridge learning gaps, utilising different learning methods, such as coaching, classroom training, e-learning, and action learning.

Responsibilities include:
  • Liaise with Head of Departments to identify training needs and desired to learn outcomes to ensure knowledge is imparted;
  • Develop programs and implement recommendations aligned with business goals, performance management, and learning & development;
  • Lead the training team in the design, development, and delivery of learning content that supports all the in-house training programs;
  • Develop and supervise processes related to coaching, train-the-trainer, mentoring, and online training content;
  • Facilitate the process of identifying leaders for the future, provide guidance for assessing potential talent, and recommend development actions at all levels of the organisation;
  • Design and facilitate core training programs that drive talent management, succession planning, leadership, and employee development initiatives;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and evaluate training statistics and reports;
  • Work hand in hand with other stakeholders to ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion of Melita’s workforce.


Job requirements:

  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and planning skills;
  • Strong presentation and creative design skills;
  • Energetic and motivated with the ability to drive self and others to achieve;
  • Ability to analyse skills, competencies, and training needs;
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn how to use new platforms and programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR & Training or related field;
  • Three years of learning & development experience with the responsibility of leading a team;
  • Experience developing adult learning theories;
  • Experience using graphic design tools to create content will be an asset.
