HR Manager (Maternity Cover)

Premier Restaurants Malta is seeking to recruit an HR Manager on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave, for a period of nine months, under a definite contract.

Based in Malta and reporting to the Manging Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing disciplinary and conflict management processes, handling internal announcements and vacancy calls, and preparing monthly reports and presentations. They will monitor the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring that all procedures are followed effectively and that work permits are issued and renewed in a timely manner, in line with legal requirements.

This role also involves providing direction and support to the HR team, participating in global HR calls, and assisting with the implementation of new HR initiatives. The successful candidate will coordinate staff events and employee awards, ensure the department runs smoothly, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.

Additionally, the HR Manager is expected to stay informed of current legal obligations and ensure full HR compliance across all functions of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Maltese employment legislation are essential to succeed in this role.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a managerial HR role, with strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and team leadership. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities. The position requires a motivated HR professional with a track record for sound judgment and integrity.
