Inspire Foundation in Malta is looking to recruit a Head of People and Culture to join their team on a full-time basis. 

About Us:
Inspire is a leading NGO in Malta helping hundreds of individuals with various disabilities to achieve their full potential, as we believe that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion. We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic, and leisure services. We also advocate for inclusion, educate the public and raise awareness among peers.

General Scope and Purpose of Position:
The Head of People and Culture (HOPC) is responsible for developing and executing the human resource strategy in support of the overall Organisation’s strategic plans and direction, specifically in the areas of talent management, resources management, change management, performance management, learning and development, and compensation and benefits.

The HOPC provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and developing HR strategies and policies that promote sustainable developments and growth. The HOPC provides direction on the abovementioned HR functions to the senior management team, the management team, and the HR team.

They will also:

  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the Organisation’s mission and strategic vision;
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall Organisation objectives, vision and mission;
  • Regularly monitor and review the HR strategy and related action plans to ensure achievement of strategic objectives;
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the senior management team regarding key organisational and management issues and provide guidance based on employment related developments;
  • Initiate, articulate and amplify values, culture, and goals within the Organisation;
  • Advocate people-oriented values and culture;
  • Develop proposals for the improvement of HR services / procedures; ensure policies and procedures are reviewed and updated in line with employment legislation and best practice;
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally;
  • Lead the HR towards certifications and quality marks such as Employer of Choice;
  • Liaise with DPO on GDPR issues and audits
  • Oversee HR policies and standards, rules, guidelines, manuals, procedures, processes, and workflows;
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate employer brand that reflects the vision and mission of the Organisation;
  • The HOPC is expected to work alongside the senior management team members and other colleagues across the Organisation to ensure a smooth and positive experience is provided to all new joiners and leavers;
  • Design, implement and improve retention and career development plans;
  • Craft talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs;
  • Evaluate training and development programs;
  • Contribute to a healthy Organisational culture that supports growth and equal opportunity;


Qualification Requirements:

  • MQF Level 6 qualification in HR, management, or a relevant field;
  • At least 4 years experience in a similar role;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Excellent people skills, ability to maintain a positive attitude and motivate people 
  • Being an effective leader;
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills

 

Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
