General Manager and Competent Person

About Us:

SCAR Agency Ltd, operator of the Malta Employment Agency, is seeking to recruit an experienced and driven General Manager who will also act as the Competent Person, in accordance with local regulatory requirements. This leadership role is crucial to the continued growth, compliance, and operational excellence of the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the agency’s daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to the Operations Manager, assisting in day-to-day activities and decision-making.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the agency’s service offerings and revenue streams.

• Act as the primary liaison for client relations, addressing and resolving any client issues or concerns.

• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to set and achieve company targets and strategic goals.

• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of budgets and other operational financial plans.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Maltese employment laws and regulations.

• A minimum of 6 years' experience as an HR Manager, or 3 years in a senior managerial role with a Bachelor’s degree.

• Excellent command of the English language (written, spoken, and reading comprehension).

• Preference will be given to candidates who:

o Have prior experience working within a temping or staffing agency.

o Are fluent in both Maltese and English (spoken, written, and read).
