About Finance:
The Finance function oversees and manages the finances of the Authority, supporting the various other functions within the Authority in all financial matters, including the preparation of timely management information, revenue collection, payments to suppliers and service providers, payroll and financial control, and budgetary control. The function also sets, monitors, and improves the operation of the MFSA's financial control framework ensuring compliance with established policies and controls. It co-ordinates with the Statutory Auditors on the annual audit of the Authority and Financial Statements drawn up in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and is also responsible for the timely submission of statutorily required financial information to Parliament.

Malta Financial Services Authority:
The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) is the single regulator for financial services in Malta. It was established by law on 23 July 2002 taking over supervisory functions previously carried out by the Central Bank of Malta, the Malta Stock Exchange, and the Malta Financial Services Centre. The Authority is a fully autonomous public institution and reports to Parliament on an annual basis.
