Waiter

Vacancies have arisen within Cisk Tap Bar & Kettles Cafe in Malta for the post of Waiters to join their team on a full/part-time basis. 

Job Role: 
Reporting to the Team Leader, the selected candidates will be responsible for assisting customers with menu selection, and recommendations, taking accurate orders in a friendly manner and serving the orders in a timely manner.

The main duties will include but not solely:

• Being knowledgeable of the menu and all available options for customers to order;
• Upselling products to improve clients’ orders;
• Spreading orders for kitchen operations not to overloaded, without affecting the client's perception of waiting time;
• Resolving issues with orders/services as quickly as possible;
• Following up with clients during all stages of meal;
• Double-checking customer orders for accuracy before entering into the POS;
• Ensuring that orders come out simultaneously and in a timely manner;
• Helping out with cleaning schedules and tidying of the dining areas;
• Reporting any issues or complaints that clients had to the Team leader;
• Greeting customers walking into the establishment;
• Taking calls for reservations and organize with supervisor accordingly.

Most important you need to:

• Have extensive knowledge and experience in the Food and Beverage sector, especially in bars;
• Have a basic level of education at O Level standard;
• Have a good knowledge of HACCP standards;
• Computer proficiency;
• A pleasant personality with strong verbal communication skills.
