Elba Restaurant in Malta is currently seeking to recruit a Restaurant Manager who is capable of coordinating daily restaurant management operations, delivering and maintaining superior food and beverage service, motivating staff in maximising customer satisfaction, whilst also having excellent management skills for front of the house, as well as the back of the house. Leading by example in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Organizing and supervising shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback
Estimate future needs for goods, products, and supplies
Ensure compliance with sanitization and health and safety regulations
Manage restaurant efficiently and suggest ways to improve
Control operational costs, whilst identifying ways to reduce wastage
Create detailed weekly reports on restaurant operational performance, along with monthly stocktakes
Train new and current employees on proper service practices ensuring high quality is sustained
Implement policies and protocols were necessary to maintain operations
Liaise and work hand in hand with the Operations Manager on necessary requirements for a restaurant operation, events, functions, and service.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role for at least 3 years is required, along with strong organizational skills
Extensive food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to lead, motivate and work well within a team
A degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or Tourism will be considered an asset.
