Iniala Management Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Linen Room Attendant to join their team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for someone who can:
Liaise with service areas such as room service and restaurant to determine linen requirements.
Issue towels and linen to room attendants and ensure that all items are correctly logged.
Neatly fold linen and store them on clean shelves in the laundry storage room.
Sort and count linen within the storage and log them into the company-provided database.
Examine laundered items such as towels and bedsheets to ensure that they have been cleaned and serviced properly.
Ensure that any torn repairable items are sent for repair / or repaired in-house.
Place laundered items in room service trolleys
Ensure that retrieved soiled linen conforms to the issue receipts.
Issue clean and serviced uniforms to staff after ensuring that they are in good repair.
Receive used uniforms and send them to be laundered or dry cleaned.
Carry out in-house laundering and pressing as required.
Fill requisitions by counting and recording linen.
Perform period inventories of staff uniforms and linen.
Record details of all incoming and outgoing linen and uniforms.
Separate linen and uniforms that need special attention and send them to the concerned professionals such as tailors and dry cleaners.
Ensure that they are enough linen items and uniforms to meet the needs of the day.
Issue cleaning rags room attendants.
Carry out other housekeeping duties as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months experience in a similar position (please do not apply if you do not have this).
Must be able to communicate effectively and to speak clearly in English. (Other languages will be considered an asset.).
Have physical mobility and stamina.
Positive attitude and good communication skills.
The ability to remain patient and composed in stressful situations.
The ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
Basic sewing knowledge will be considered an asset.
Must ideally be in Malta already.
