Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at Zitti Restaurant at the vibrant Merchants Street Valletta. 

Key responsibilities

•Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by clearing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment and resetting dining areas.

•Receiving and unpacking all deliveries if required.

•Assisting the Chef with basic food preparation, which includes washing, peeling, and cutting meal ingredients as per the Chef's instructions.

•Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies

•Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

•Ability to work well under pressure. 

•Ability to work well in a team and to collaborate with all staff in the restaurant.  

•Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

•Secondary school minimum level of education; Computer literacy.

•Good level of communication in the English language.

•Food Handling Licence B.
