Kitchen Porter Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen staff.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are ready for use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and waste areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, following proper stock rotation practices.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables responsibly and promptly.
  • Support chefs and other kitchen staff by fetching ingredients and equipment as needed.
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the kitchen manager or head chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
