Housekeeping Attendant

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene of guest rooms and public areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will create a comfortable and welcoming environment for every guest.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Replace linens, towels, and replenish amenities such as toiletries, coffee, and water.
• Ensure all supplies are fully stocked and rooms are impeccably presented.
• Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and ensure common areas are tidy and inviting.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly to the relevant department.
• Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and addressing minor issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Greet guests courteously and professionally in hallways or public areas.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries and assist when appropriate, or refer guests to the front desk.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Adhere to procedures for handling lost and found items.
• Work closely with housekeeping colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless service.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to report any challenges or needs.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards in all guest rooms and public spaces.
• Check for and report any guest belongings left behind.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to company policies and standards.
