Hugo's Group in Malta is looking to recruit a Hotel Revenue & Reservations Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
The Hotel Revenue & Reservations Manager is responsible for maximizing the overall revenue, profit, and market share through development and implementation of effective pricing and distribution strategies based on the evaluation of current and anticipated market analysis. The successful candidate will be tasked to spread a revenue culture within the hotel teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop the overall pricing strategy for all segments, feeder markets, and distribution channels, in tandem with the Hotel General Manager
Develop the Reservations team to ensure the constant delivery of excellent guest and customer service
Drive revenue and increase market share by taking full ownership of RMS and other BI tools provided by the Hotel
Actively take part in the room’s annual budget, business plan preparation, and presentation
Lead the Weekly BDM and clearly communicate the strategic vision and objectives on how to scale profitable strategies whilst driving incremental customer value and improving performance
Monitor and analyze market conditions based on all available data sources for both past and future
Pro-actively identify need period and accordingly adapt sales as well as pricing strategies
Perform group displacement analysis taking into consideration the overall revenue and profit optimization whilst managing a 200-key inventory and oversell strategy
Follow up on lost business and bring to the knowledge of the Hotel General Manager
Perform account evaluation on a yearly basis
Ensure that Reservations & Revenue Management standards and initiatives are implemented and adhered to
Ensure that all respective systems are maintained in the most optimized manner
Ensure that properties’ reservation channels are returning the appropriate availability and rate for the upcoming 365 days
Work closely with the Hotel Sales Manager to help identify leads and convert leads to confirmed bookings
Perform any other duties as assigned by management such as Duty Manager Shifts.
Qualifications & Assets:
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Business or another related field
The candidate should have 3 to 5 years of successful revenue management experience at a multi-property level
Experience in hotel revenue management is important to the success of this role. The candidate must have excellent analytical skills and must fully comprehend the travel industry distribution landscape. This includes third party channels, GDS, central reservation systems, and property management systems
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are imperative as the candidate will interact remotely with hotels, interact frequently with corporate brand representation, and will coach direct reports on revenue management best practices. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations
Candidate must exhibit strong personal confidence and good presentation skills, willingness to learn continuously and have a structured approach to planning, being a team player and able to work independently and under pressure whilst successfully managing a team.
