Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa is looking to recruit a Front Office Porter to join their team on a full-time basis. The Front Office Porter will be primarily responsible to greet and welcome all guests to the hotel and assist guests with their luggage on arrival. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • To make the arriving guest feel welcomed and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Welcome the guests.
  • Taking care of arrival experience – welcome drinks, hot and cold scented towels.
  • Unload the guest luggage, make sure no luggage has been left in the car or in the car booth.
  • Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Escort guests to room, placing luggage in the room assigned by the front desk.
  • Ensure the guest that adequate transportation facilities are available to and from the hotel and local destinations.
  • Direct guests to the reception.
  • Make eye contact and smile.
  • Maintain continuous contact with Hotel Guests.
  • Uphold the Hotels commitment to gracious hospitality and follow through on staff courtesy training programs.
  • Taking care of flags, mail, and deliveries.
  • Taking care of Groups, Luggage in and out and room drops.


The selected candidate must:

  • Have previous similar experience within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Able to speak in English and another European language.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to address guests' needs and demands.
  • Have an eye for detail and a smart appearance.
  • Be a team player.
  • Flexible with working hours including nights, evenings, and weekends.
