Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay in Malta is currently looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
An exciting opportunity has risen for a self-motivated and energetic Food and Beverage Manager at the Corinthia St George’s Bay. The ideal candidate will have a strong F&B background and a real passion for hospitality and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and review departmental and individual team members’ goals and targets within budget guidelines and to the highest standards.
  • Recruit, train and develop an outstanding team and maintain a two-way communication process which nurtures an environment of motivation & teamwork.
  • Look for opportunities to improve the sales & profitability of all F&B departments.
  • Outline the strategies for the F&B department as per the yearly budget and S&M plan in line with payroll and cost of sales.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments and ensure that the Area General Manager, Director of Operations, Head of Departments and co-workers of outlets are kept well informed of any promotions, changes, and queries.
  • Review and set up procedures for business and service improvements.
  • Comply with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Handle all Food & Beverage inquiries and ensure timely follow-up on the same business day.
  • Work with the Culinary Team to develop innovative menus and concepts to stay ahead of the competitors.
  • Roster F&B colleagues according to operational demands and in line with budget.
  • Produce and analyse monthly F&B revenue performance, productivity, cost of sales and labour costs with a view to continuing implementing and developing the operations of Restaurants and Bars.


Requirements:

  • Have experience in the Food & Beverage environment and operations
  • Have commercial acumen
  • Possess a valid Food Handling License
  • Have a good command of the written and spoken English language
  • Have good knowledge of POS and front-of-house operating systems
  • Knowledgeable in an OPERA system
  • Be flexible in attitude, approach and working hours
  • Flexible to work on a shift roster including weekends and Public holidays
  • Must be willing to carry out Duty Management shifts.
