Food and Beverage Server

Palazzo Ignazio in Malta is looking to recruit a Food and Beverage Server to join their team on a full basis.

Job Role: 
Presenting menus, answering questions and offering suggestions, the Food and Beverage Server will guide patrons through the restaurant offerings and eventually take down their chosen orders. It is the duty of the Food and Beverage Server to explain menu items and assist patrons with special dietary needs and allergy needs.

Responsibilities:

• Have complete knowledge of the Menu, Wine List and any special Promotion, being able to answer quest queries promptly and knowledgeably in line with the standards of the Hotel
• Execute all beverage orders to the brand standards in a timely manner
• Take orders in a professional manner, in the correct sequence and using up-selling skills discreetly and according to the Hotel standards
• Ensure that the correct change is given to guests upon receiving payment from guests
• Have a good knowledge of beverages and beverage service
• Provide and maintain the highest standard of guest care and service
• Ensuring the bar up keeping to the requested standard in line with the procedures set by the restaurant
• Greet customers, make suggestions, answer and present the menu
• Take orders and send them to kitchen staff through the POS system
• Ensure quality service in the dining room and serve meals
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Serve Food and Dessert
• Prepare the bills for beverages and meals ordered, process payments, and then balance daily transactions
• Take reservations and greet the take-out counter customers
• Handle any customer complaints or problems promptly and ensure that all resolved/unresolved incidents are reported to the Management
• Comply with health and Safety and HACCAP regulations
• Comply with equipment usage guidelines

• Ensure your work area is clean
• Organize your work and work area professionally
• Clean and clear the dining room tables
• Do all other tasks as required by the supervisor.
