Is-Suq Tal-Belt in Malta is looking to recruit a Food and Beverage Floor Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Role: 
The Food and Beverage Floor Manager leads all aspects of our Food and Beverage business. Delivers a high-quality menu and motivates our staff to provide excellent customer service. The Floor manager's responsibilities include maintaining the restaurants and bars' revenue, profitability, and quality goals. Ensures efficient restaurant and bar operation, as well as maintains high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, set work schedules, oversees food and bar service, and makes sure we comply with health and safety regulations. Assist staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Responsible to ensure our outlets and bars run smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant and bars operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer requests
  • Regularly review product quality and research new products and create promotions
  • Organize and supervise shifts including preparing schedules
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, restaurant and bar utensils, and cleaning products
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage outlets' good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant and bar operations.


The ideal candidate would have:

  • Knowledge of the English language
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Possess a drive to provide exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communicators to manage a team in a high-volume environment
  • Ambitious, reliable, self-motivated, and shows initiative at all times
  • Flexible and able to work any hours required and at any section assigned by the Operations Manager
  • Previous experience in a catering environment.
