InterContinental Malta is looking to recruit part-time Commis Chefs to join their professional and driven culinary team and assist in the daily food preparation and presentation for a number of food and beverage outlets within the hotel.

Job Role: 
Within this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental targets. We are inviting positive, self-assured, and professional individuals with a really approachable manner to apply for this position. You must be a committed and dedicated individual who takes pride in going above and beyond to delivering exceptional quality service. Ideally, you’ll have at least one year of experience in a similar role in a well-established, demanding kitchen environment. You will also be motivated, creative, and have a real passion for food. Candidates must be able to work under pressure, possess basic food hygiene, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications and Requirements: 
Furthermore, the ideal candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Fluency in English;
  • At least one-year previous culinary experience preferably in a hotel of similar size;
  • The ability to work shift duties, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
