Café & Gelateria Supervisor

Barlatte Cafe in Malta is seeking to recruit an experienced Café & Gelateria Supervisor to work, assist and monitor shifts in our gelateria and cafeteria.

Duties include the following but are not limited to: 

• Opening, closing procedures, cash handling, and staff rosters.
• To assist with orders of food, beverages, and packaging products liaising with the Manager on any additional stock changes or requirements. 
• Maintain a FIFO procedure for stocks and perform monthly stocktakes and report to the Manager. 
• Ensure that the shop is sufficiently stocked to meet demand, is kept at optimum condition, and wastage is minimised and recorded. 
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order on a regular basis. 
• Responsible for the smooth running of the café during shifts including, hosting, taking orders, making drinks, serving food, and closing bills. 
• To be professional, polite, and well-presented whilst providing and maintaining excellent customer service at all times. 
• Maintain a clean and tidy shop, including all areas; clearing tables, floors, and waste areas. 
• Ensure the daily and weekly cleaning schedules are completed by staff to a high standard. 
• Supervise deliveries, including the checking of delivery notes and verification of delivered goods. 
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities required at any time necessary as required by the Management.

Duties include the following but are not limited to:

• The ability to commit to flexible working hours in a fast-paced environment is necessary. 
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
