Iniala Management Ltd in Malta is seeking to recruit a Bartender to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the person selected will be responsible for preparing high-quality drinks and delivering exceptional guest services in our bar areas.

Duties:

  • Greet customers and present beverage menus in the bar.
  • Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries.
  • Take orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
  • Record drink orders accurately into POS system.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with SOPs.
  • Stock the bar daily before service.
  • Be knowledgeable in the background of the drinks you make and the ingredients used.
  • Be able to converse with guests and make them feel comfortable.
  • Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specifications.
  • Upsell drink and snack items to guests.
  • Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion.
  • Attempt to limit problems related to guests’ excessive drinking by following established procedures.
  • Process transactions using the POS system.
  • Prepare checks and process payments for guests.
  • Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays.
  • Maintain upkeep of the bar and its equipment during shift.
  • Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift.
  • Monitor inventory, restock bars and request stock before par stock levels get low.
  • Ensure bar opening and closing checklists are adhered to.
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high-end hotel bars, cocktail bars or restaurants.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Numeracy and cash handling skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverages.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Communication skills.
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
