Caffe Cordina in Malta is looking to recruit an Assistant Pastry Chef to join their team on a part-time basis. The chosen candidate will prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, or other sweet goods.

Job Role: 
  • The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations;
  • They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible service;
  • Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, pies, Maltese delicacies, etc, following traditional and modern recipes.

  • Someone who is eager to learn and grow with our establishment.
*Full training will be given

*Currently, this position is open to Part-Time with the possibility of Full-Time in the near future.

Caffe Cordina:
Founded in 1837, Caffe Cordina is a well-known, established family business with a long history. From its humble beginnings as a confectionery in Bormla, it has become the prestigious coffee shop it is today thanks to the foresight, daring, and hard work of the late Cesare Cordina, when he relocated to Valletta in 1944. Situated in a beautiful, historic palazzo with an exquisite interior, Cesare Cordina enlarged the coffee shop over the years to include a restaurant, tea room, pasticceria, coffee bar, and gelateria. Caffe Cordina produces its own hand-made, traditional sweets and pastries in-house and also has a line of gourmet products, which can be purchased from the caffe in Valletta, Malta International Airport, as well as selected outlets in Malta and Gozo. Cesare Cordina was also a pioneer in the outside catering business, which has had an esteemed reputation for the past 40 years. The family continues to maintain the same high standard of quality, excellent service, and innovation that Cesare would be proud of.
