Racking Inspector

Job Description
Storage Systems Limited in Malta, a leading provider of storage and material handling solutions both locally and internationally, is looking to recruit a full-time Racking Inspector.

Job Role: 
The Racking Inspector will be responsible to plan and carry out racking inspections on clients’ sites in an effective and efficient manner, following procedures to ensure accurate inspection reports along with offering relevant recommendations as well as promote the company whilst with clients.

The Position:

• Carry out racking safety and site inspections in accordance with applicable European standards on all system types, write accurate reports detailing the results of said inspections, enabling the client to make an informed decision on actions to be taken.
• Complete inspection paperwork in accordance with The Company standard terminology and process the paperwork with the relevant department so that it can be filed accordingly as well as collect all necessary data/evidence of all issues/damage to include photographs, ensuring it is all downloaded on the computer system on return to the office.
• Prepare a material quotation sheet for all racking safety inspections completed in order for an accurate quotation to be provided using agreed systems and procedures as well as liaise with clients upon completion of inspections, going through damage identified including immediate action points along with the next step in the process.
• Organise work schedule and carry out the work as identified in the job pack in a timely and effective manner ensuring all relevant method statements and risk assessments are adhered to, communicated, and understood.
• Report any work carried out by The Company that has not been completed to a high standard to the relevant department in order to maintain the quality of work being done.

The Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in the English language;
• Ability to multitask;
• Possess a technical mindset;
• Advanced written communication and report writing skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Advanced computer skills;
• Must have a valid clean driving license;
• Previous experience in a similar role and/or a Health and Safety Certification would be considered an asset.
