Our client is seeking a Food Safety & HACCP Coordinator, you will report to the Food Safety and HACCP manager, and will be responsible for carrying out food safety checks during production and maintaining the HACCP manual.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the HACCP documentation is kept up to date
- Carrying out daily checks on the production floor, in the bakery and the kitchens
- Ensuring that the product meets the company’s set standards and is in line with local and EU legislation
- Preparing product labels with nutrition and ingredient information
- Updating procedures and staff training
Requirements and Experience
- Hold a diploma in food technology or 2 years’ experience in the food industry or in quality control
- Be knowledgeable about food safety, HACCP systems and corrective action reporting
- You will be knowledgeable or willing to learn about local and EU labelling and food safety regulations
- Knowledge of ISO and other international food standards
- Good skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Have high attention to detail and a pro-active attitude
- Strong integrity and moral principles
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- A keen sense of priorities and ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, Maltese would be an asset
- Currently living in Malta
