Dental Assistant (Part-Time)

About the Role: You will be supporting the dental surgeon with various dental, cleaning and administration tasks, on varied shifts throughout the week. Shifts will be within clinic hours Monday-Friday, however, there may be the occasional requirement for you to work on Saturday (day shift) in the absence of other dental assistants.

Training will be provided - previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. 

Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients entering the clinic and surgery
• Making appointments and managing the clinic diary
• Answering the telephone
• Assisting the dental surgeon with all dental care cases (including emergency cases)
• Adhering to protocols as per legal requirements
• Recording of treatment information in patient histories
• Basic cleaning and administration tasks

Contract: Part-Time

Term: Permanent

Hours: 20 hrs per week (scope for overtime), including mornings, evenings and Saturdays

Probation Period: 6 Months
