Job Description
Apco Systems Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Managing Director to join their team on a full-time basis. A career opportunity has arisen for an experienced executive with the right aptitude and drive to succeed in the role of Managing Director of APCO Systems: A Company with a growing portfolio of innovative and leading electronic payment services.

Job Role:
Based in Malta and reporting to the Board of Directors of APCO Systems and the Harvest Technology Plc CEO, the Managing Director will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Company. The successful candidate will identify, plan, develop, and follow-through new business opportunities whilst maintaining healthy business relationships with existing clients to grow the business portfolio. This senior management role asks for an experienced, qualified professional, in possession of commercial drive, in-depth knowledge of the IT landscape, sound judgment, and sharp business acumen.

The Managing Director will manage the development and launching of core and road mapped payments products. They will be responsible for managing the performance of the company’s payments offerings. This role has responsibility for core payments offerings, including but not limited to hardware, gateways, supported services, and key vendor relationships. This position must also develop and execute against a strategic roadmap aligned to company growth objectives in its payment solutions and merchant services offerings, including but not limited to alternative payment methods, device strategies, features, and value-added services.

The Requirements: 

• The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience, in a similar position, in the Payment Services/Fintech industries;
• Be aware of the EU regulatory landscape in respect of the Payments Directive, e-money institutions, KYC/AML, etc.;
• Demonstrate an understanding of payment enabling technologies/systems and related security requirements;
• Can oversee the management of day-to-day operations;
• Be an effective team leader, capable of managing customer and employee relationships, sector networks, and business development.
• A willingness to travel is essential.
