Head of Risk

Our client is a leading Financial Services provider.  They would like to engage a Head of Risk to lead the department's growing team

The Role

• You will manage the Risk Management team to ensure the appropriate distribution of work tasks and the achievement of the set KPIs for the individuals and for the team
• You will oversee the running of the operations of the Risk Management function
• As part of the role, you will be handling of the company's performance management process for the Risk Management function
• You will participate in management meetings
• To ensure that the defined risk appetite is compliant with all Regulations
• Providing strategic input and direction in relation to the risk appetite of the company and ensuring that operational activities are carried out in alignment with the set risk appetite.
• Review internal processes and procedures and offer recommendations as to how these can be improved through risk and quality perspectives
• Liaise with the senior management team, offering contribution and support in relation to risk and quality standards.
• You will handle responsibilities for budgeting (capital expenditure and operational expenditure) in relation to the Risk Management
• You will promote a culture of quality and accountability in such a way as to allow the company to establish high standards of trust
