Our client, a fast growing group of companies specializing in Healthcare and renewable energy is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee the function of its Healthcare business.
Responsibilities:
Reporting and working with the CEO to determine and oversee the appropriate allocation of resources such as bookkeeping, invoice control, customer billing, accounts receivable, inventory management and processing any bank transactions
Preparing monthly management accounts including reconciliation statements, accruals and prepayments
Gaining a detailed understanding of all the operational and commercial aspects of the business whilst interpreting the financial results and relate them up to the management's expectations
Developing the monthly management pack as well as presenting it to the senior management on a monthly basis
Making full use of the company's financial reporting systems and business intelligence reports and using these tools to drill down into the necessary level of detail to explain the numbers in clear and concise manner
Reviewing the monthly payroll processing including related filings with the relevant authorities
Preparing VAT and income tax returns and management of tax payments/refunds
Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with auditors in relation to the annual audit of the financial statements
Reviewing stocks, accounts payable, debtors and managing related cash flows and working capital
Preparing the annual budget and subsequent forecasts as required
Assisting the CEO in evaluating business opportunities across the group including pricing of significant business transactions, potential investments, financing opportunities, strategic business decisions, managing the banking relationship, liaising with bank managers and pro actively managing the group's cash flow and working capital requirements
