Credit Control Executive

A vacancy for the post of a Credit Control Executive has arisen within the Finance team of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.  The selected candidate is responsible for the supervision and mentoring of the Group Credit Control team and ensuring adherence to the policies and procedures

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the selected candidate shall be responsible for:

• Ensuring the timely and effective collection of dues
• Ensuring all documentation is compiled accurately and in line with company policies
• Monitoring the creditworthiness of clients and ensuring that all portfolios are in line with their agreed limits
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer credit data on the company’s system
• Taking active participation in the handling of disputes with customers
• Immediate flagging of default accounts and taking immediate corrective action
• Supervising, coaching, mentoring and evaluating the performance of the team
• Effective liaising with all departments within the group
• Debriefing of truck runs, raising credit notes for returned goods and reconciling bank deposits with depot daily transactions.

The selected candidate/s shall:

• have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar commercial credit control function
• be self-motivated, have leadership skills and capable to work independently under minimal supervision
• have strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft packages)
• be a clear and concise communicator to both internal and external clients/stakeholders
• be honest and trustworthy with an ability to work under pressure.
