Our client, an established business with a turnover of 25 million and a 100 person strong team is currently recruiting for a Chief Financial & Operations Officer. Whilst reporting to the CEO and managing the Finance, IT, Logistics and HR teams your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing, organizing, implementing and directing the organization's finance function and performance
- Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operation infrastructure of systems and processes
- Identifying KPIs for various teams and ensuring that these are being met
- Developing credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends
- Providing technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
- Conducting improvements of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
- Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
- Developing a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
- Acting as an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the company may enter
- Evaluating the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities
- Reviewing requirements for IPO if the company chooses to be listed
- Measuring the effectiveness of all internal and external process
- Spearheading the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and quality standard processes
Education and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience working within a managerial capacity, ideally in a C-suite capacity
- Degree in Finance and/or General Management
- Fluency in both Maltese and English
